The city center and port of Castelnaudary will shine for Christmas
This year will be marked by something new to celebrate the end of the year. There Town hall,Chaurien Commerce Office as well as the Children & Youth, Culture and Tourism services of the Community of Commune Castelnaudary Lauragais Audois come together to bring you a unique Christmas market.
The elves' workshop on Place de Verdun
It is on the Verdun Square that the little elves will be expected to participate in different creative workshops and manuals. Workshops suitable for children with the creation of balloon sculptures, pottery, sewing, the creation of Christmas objects, games of all kinds, gourmet stands...
Not to mention the Père Noël who will be waiting for their little elves with their sleigh to immortalize the moment! The appointment is given from 17 p.m.
Santa Claus Village at the port
This year, the festivities will extend to the banks of the canal to awaken all your senses! The Children & Youth service will brighten your eyes with a light fresco projected onto the facades of the Harbor Master's Office and the Music School from 17:30 p.m. Created especially for the occasion by the children of the CCCLA after-school leisure centers, it will illustrate the life-size works of the Canal du Midi. L'Music school will come with its fabulous orchestra from 19 p.m. for a unique experience.
For foodies, a farmers market will be installed on the Quai du Port with numerous stands ready to delight your taste buds! Teenagers from the children's & youth service will run a "gourmet kit" stand especially for the event. The perfect opportunity to stroll around the port with the barge lighting competition who will return to make the place sparkle. Christmas meal at the Halle aux Grains
For those who are more cautious, a Christmas dinner settles in the Grains Hall organized by the Chaurien Commerce Office with several activities. First on the menu, aligot, sausage and apple pie from 20 p.m.! The meal requires registration at 04.68.23.49.95 at a price of €15 per person or can be reserved online here. THE DJ Matt Dave bring back his turntables to liven up the evening with music. Come dressed in your (most beautiful) Christmas sweater to participate in the competition! A free raffle will be organized to try to win one of the many prizes at stake.
