Description

This very pretty route, departing from Saint-Michel-de-Lanès, will allow you to discover charming Lauragais villages, as well as the surrounding countryside. A long passage along ridges will allow you to admire the Estrade reservoir, better known as “Lac de la Ganguise”. Between castles, bucolic landscapes and trails, come and recharge your batteries in Lauragais!

Your itinerary

Getting to the starting pointto report a problem

Step 1

When you find the old market, turn left to take Rue de la Fontaine. Once you arrive at the Belflou road, after crossing it you find a wide path running along the Hers Mort. It continues with a road which takes you to the D333, which you will follow quite briefly. You are here very close to the heart of the village of Salles sur l'Hers.

Step 2

You leave the D333 to turn left. You do not leave the main route, which leads you to continue your ascent on a dirt road. After a small pass, you turn to the right to join the D217. You leave the Cumiès road on the right to soon find a path on the left.

Step 3

You therefore leave the road to follow this path located on the left. Soon you will be on a ridge path overlooking the Estrade reservoir, better known as the Ganguise lake. You soon follow a wood, which takes you to the Belflou road. You take it for 200m.

Step 4

Arriving at the fork, take the grassy path in front of you, in the center of the fork. Continuing, you come across a road, which you cross. You also cross the D333 which you then find, to take a path going slightly to the left, towards Le Castelet.

Step 5

A dirt road soon appears on the left, it allows you to go down to the heart of Saint-Michel-de-Lanès, from where you can reach your starting point.
