Program
Day 1
Step 1: Arrival at your accommodation.
Upon your arrival, go to your accommodation for the next 3 days. Named “La Maison Du Meunier”, this guest room is located at Écluse du Vivier, in the town of Saint-Martin-Lalande.
For the evening meal, we suggest you stay and eat at the gîte and order the delicious Escudier cassoulet.
Day 2
Step 1: Castenaudary > Seuil de Naurouze
The next day, join the town of Castelnaudary, to head towards the “La Roue Qui Tourne” association to collect bikes for the day.
Enjoy a short bucolic stroll along the Canal du Midi, to reach the Seuil de Naurouze, where the watershed of the canal is located. Arriving at your destination, take advantage of the good weather and its site, to rest, before resuming the visit to the “Obelisque De Riquet”.
Step 2: Lunch
On the way back, reach the Port du Ségala and stop at the “Relais De Riquet” restaurant. Head back to your starting point to return the bikes and return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest and meal.
Step 3: Evening meal
For the evening meal, we suggest you eat at the “Le Gueuleton” restaurant. Le Guleton is the restaurant for bon vivants!
From cold cuts to cheese, through carefully chosen wines and well-crafted cocktails, you will necessarily be convinced by this restaurant.
Day 3
Step 1: Walking tour in the center of Castelnaudary
To enjoy the last day of your stay, take a stroll along the Grand Bassin in Castelnaudary to admire the view overlooked by the St-Michel collegiate church.
Don't miss the 4 Saint-Roch Locks a few steps from the Grand Bassin.
Step 2: Lunch
Take advantage of the last moments to eat at the “Le Quai Du 21” restaurant. In a privileged setting, on the edge of the Canal on a shaded terrace, you will taste local products, and will be just a stone's throw from the boat for your next adventure: the boat trip on the Canal du Midi.
Step 3: Boat trip on the Canal du Midi
To end the afternoon gently, board the “Saint Roch” boat, which will be waiting for you to admire the beautiful landscapes offered by the Canal du Midi along the water.
